Hello. I've done some research regarding meniscal tears, but I'm still not able to interpret my results. I know I have a tear on the inside/medial meniscus, but I don't understand much else. Any clarification would be extremely appreciated.
What type/shape of tear? (bucket handle, parrot beak?) Is it red/red, red/white, etc - in the area that receives blood and therefore, could heal? Horizontal or vertical? How bad/deep is this tear? (Grade?)
Results:
"The medial meniscus demonstrates a midaspect flap tear extending to the inferior surface. There is slight effusion and a small popliteal cyst."
Thanks for your expertise.
