TT-TG Distance. How to Translate?
« on: August 31, 2011, 08:46:49 PM »
I had a rotational study done and the report says that my TT-TG distances are 19mm right and 13mm left.  I forgot to ask the OS what that means and now I am trying to figure it out.  Anyone out there know how to translate this into English?
11/29/2010 Lateral Release left knee
1/2011 Cortizone injection left knee
4/1/2011 Lateral Release right knee
5-6/2011 Supartz injection series (5)
12/12/2011 TTT and Lateral Release repair left knee

That's the offset distance between your trochlear groove to your tibial tubercle, or the horizontal distance between the tibial tubercle and the center of the groove, if you're getting technical.

10-15mm is normal, anything greater than 20mm is considered abnormal.

What did your OS say about the rotational study? Sorry if you posted somewhere else about it!

He said there were some rotaional abnormalities but not bad enough to warrant surgery to correct them.
