pain around shin area
« on: September 21, 2011, 04:01:40 PM »
I had patella realignment done in June this year. Over the past week the area around my shin has been extremely painful and feels like its just about to snap(there is no other way to describe it). Is this pain normal?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

What kind of patella realignment did you have? If you had  a tibial tubercle transfer, it could be irritation from the screws as this not uncommon.

Sounds like shin splints which occur when the leg is weak..

(by the way, if you post in a single thread instead of a new topic it'll be easier for others to keep track of how you have progressed over time.. )
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
