lateral meniscus repair and tibia microfracture surgery
« on: August 05, 2011, 09:58:45 PM »
I had anthro surgery done on my meniscus to reapir it. While doing it my surgeon seen that i had a microfracture in my bone (tibial) so he performed surgery on it. He recommed for the first 2 weeks I do therapy and did. My surgeron recommened I go on a exersice bike to help the blood flow from my tibila surgery. Just wondering if that would effect my mensicus in anyway. Im also having trmendous pressure on my left knee and feel slight pain while standong or moving on the crutches

Other small details : First two weeks I got my knee angle from 0 degrees to 90.
After checkup with surgeon he wanted 0 degrees to 110.
Need to be on cruches for 6-7 weeks (recommened by surgeron)
When I do the excerise on the bike i feel a slight pain under the knee cap, probably the tibila micro but not sure. Should I be concerned? Thank you.

I don't know much about the surgery you have had, but I do know that while doing any physical therapy (except maybe stretching) that you should not feel any pain. You should ask your doctor about the pain you feel while cycling..
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
