ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair
« on: July 19, 2011, 06:55:37 PM »
I am 3 and a half months post surgery after an ACL reconstruction (graft using my own hamstring)  and meniscus repair.  Doing my physio still a few times a week and riding a bicycle as well, physiotherapist says everything is going well.  My ? is just under my knee and down my shin it is a bluish colours almost like veins...it wasn't there right after surgery, actually didn't even have much bruising after surgery at all, but now it is discoloured.  Wondering if anyone has experienced this.  Also wondering how long after surgery did you guys feel like your knee was not operated on...no sign of any discomfort when walking...basically how long till your knee felt like nothing had been done to it.  :D  Thanks

For me, 4-months to the day (April 1st) was the first full day that I had not thought about my knee after the ACL revision.  Hang in there for a few more weeks!
