Hi Ashok -- very interesting information about the variety of treatments you've tried -- thank you for sharing! I hadn't even heard of Prolozone.  I see a physician in NJ as well for my prp and prolotherapy -- North Brunswick!  Where did you go...?

I'm in a similar state to you in that I can walk very little and can't even drive from persistent knee/hip pain.  So, it seems, from your history, that there may be something to Regenexx's claims of being better than all the other US labs at stem cells, prp, etc.  Btw, did you do SD?  At this point, you would say thats its probably worth it to go to Colorado (and an island?) for this therapy...?

Ivy, I wasn't trying PRP alone...I was having Prolotherapy with [HGH + Dextrose + Magnesium + Testosterone + others] solutions and PRP from a doctor in chicago
http://www.caringmedical.com/therapies/hackett_hemwall_prolotherapy.asp. [Prolo + PRP]

I was also trying Prolozone from a doctor in PA http://drandrewlipton.com/holistic-alternative-medical-services/prolozone-injection-for-back-and-joint-pain/
also had just PRP [without prolotherapy] from a local doctor in NJ.

Bone Marrow Prolotherapy from the same doctor in Chicago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsZ--Bc9v9E, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DealmN94tRw&feature=related

I tried all the above mentioned injections for almost 12-16 months. But I didn't find any relief.
I had problems with full weight-bearing while walking so was using single crutch to aid walking for more than 2 years...with all the above mentioned treatments, I had all the symptoms of persistent pain, swelling, stiffness in the knee. I cannot walk more than 10-15 mins and cannot stand for more than 5-10 mins even with the help of a crutch.

Now after Regenexx injections by August 2011, my swelling has bit reduced though not fully. Am able to bear weight while walking. I can walk for 10 mins without pain in my knee. But again standing for more than 5-10 mins is still a problem, prolonged sitting gives me stiffness in the knee. Based on doctor's advice currently undergoing some aggressive physical therapy...PT kind of giving me back the required strength on my knee, hip, back and other joints which were inhibiting my mobility earlier.

Other than that I cannot really say whether Prolotherapy, PRP and Prolozone that they really failed or helped but after Regenexx injections am seeing that I am making some progress, still it is slow but at least I can feel that am making some progress.

Ivy,

I took PRP from a doctor in Paramus NJ.

You can read about my treatment history from this below post..page no 20

Yes, I had Regenexx-SD injections.
Prolozone did gave me pain relief temporarily, but I was looking for permanent pain relief, resuming normal knee function and cartilage regeneration in the medial femoral condyle region.

I guess you are visiting Dr.Magaziner in the north brunswick region.

Ivy,

Hmmm... have not yet heard of this Paramus guy... yes, I see Magaziner!  I do think he's the best in the state... however, can't help but worry that most stem cells get killed off when injected with lidocaine. Regenexx seems to be so much more adept than the average sports med doc... and they have their own lab on premises with cutting edge research.  On the other hand, it migth just be that they are excelletn at marketing.

Did you consider having your stem cells cultured...?

I haven't thought about going to Cayman Islands for Regenexx-C, may be I will wait for another Regenexx-SD injection before  I could think about that.
How Much Dr.Magaziner charging for the PRP injections ?

I pay $1500 for prp into one hip plus one knee.  Wondering what other people are getting charged by their practioners...?  Would be very helpful to compare.
