knee replacement out of alignment/tracking
« on: June 10, 2011, 06:34:02 AM »
After 15 months I have consulted 2 other specialist who advise the replacement was off angle causing my patellar to be in the wrong place & causing extreme pain on the outer side of my knee like glass or a knife.
When wearing a Q brace which brings the kneecap over to the inside of my leg it alleviates the pain, even a tubogrip helps but once off the pain immediately returns.
I have had a further operation to clear the tissue & shave the kneecap without success, in fact causing more pain to my muscle above my knee.
any advice greatly appreciated.
