TTT surgeons in MI?
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:45:30 PM »
Hi All.  This is my first post after lurking for a year.  First a little background.  My knees have been hurting for th elast 3-4 years and after several attempts at PT my FP Dr said I should see a OS.  I went to a very well respected Sports Med OS and she recommended surgery.  Specifically a lateral release on both knees.  So last Nov I had a LR on my left knee and in April I had it on my right knee.  Both surgeries failed.  I then went through the Supartz injection series and those didn't do much.

I go back in on Thursday and expect my surgeon to recomend a TTT on both knees.  I don't think she is very experienced with the proceedure so I was wondering if anyone on here knows of a very experienced surgeon in the Lansing area that I could get a second oppinion.

I am less than thrilled to have to go through 2 more surgeries since the last 2 utterly failed.  However, I am so sick of the knees hurting that I will do anything.

Thanks for any help and feel free to give me some suggested questions to ask my OS on Thursday.
