I haven't been on the KG board for years and its good to be back.
You can see from my profile i've always had knee problems and years ago, I was playing netball and it was the complete undoing of my left knee. Following this, I have constant patella sublaxtion and had TTT, medial plication and lateral release. The following year or so later I had the screws out. But I still have pain in my tibia and knee and my right knee is now suffering because of the years of compensation. The OS said this one eventually might need operating on but trying to avoid this unless its really necessary.
Now I haven't been able to play any sport or do any exercise because my knee just swells and I am in such pain. but...i have always loved my netball and want to get fit again and the opportunity to play in a London league has arisen through work. I am petrified seemings the last time I played I ended up in hospital but was thinking maybe knee supports would help my confidence.
I remember my physiotherapirst saying it didnt make much difference to wear a support but would be good to get peoples thoughts, on what braces/supports they would recommend for my operated knee and for my non operated knee - I couldnt face hospital again!
Thanks everyone
