Long Distance Walking following a TKR
« on: May 08, 2011, 10:20:43 AM »
Hi again,  Opinions please I will be 7 months post op, following a total knee replacement, in October and we'd planned to do 4 days walking. Not massive distances, no more than 12 miles a day.  Has anyone done any long distance walking with a TKR.  My recovery has been good and at 6 weeks post op can fully flex and extend (apart from an awful clunk)  so I'm assuming my recovery will continue well. Help please.

Also my physio discharged me at 4wks post op as I had a full range of movements, I feel quite cheated as even after a scope I had at least 6 sessions. My surgery was done as part of a private package and I'm thinking they don't want to waste money. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thanks
