ESTIM and DVTs
« on: April 26, 2011, 09:53:09 PM »
My PT hasn't been using ESTIM on my quad as apparently there's some risk with DVTs. Does anyone have any more info as to why this is?
Full rupture of left patella tendon on Feb 10th 2011
Repair on Feb 15th 2011 - No wire was used
Age 32 - very active with longstanding tendonitis in my left knee

Because it cause cause the DVT to become dislodged where it can go into your lungs or brain.  I had to quit PT until the DVT was gone...3 months.
