I just wanted to say that I'm into week 5 of my TKR and every said to give it 3-4 weeks to get over the hump. Well, that was very accurate.
1. Keep it iced periodically when you get home from the Hospital.
2. Do your physical therapy.
3. Don't push it, keep it elevated above your heart to get the swelling to go down.
4. Don't expect to lay in bed, watch TV and have it suddenly become 100% pain free. Ain't gonna happen. You have to actually work it and as they say, "no pain, no gain".
