burning around ankle 3 years after TKR
« on: March 12, 2011, 07:32:48 PM »
Hi all,
I have been having several problems with my TKR surgery. First my knee will not bend more then 90 and that makes it a little difficult getting pants on. Now 3 years after I have developed buring on the side of my foot around the ankle when I walk and sometimes a little at rest. Has this happened to anyone out there. ???

Hi. I'm just a layperson like you, but maybe you are walking slightly off balance without realising it and putting extra strain on your ankle. I did this after my op 7 years ago and had back problems eventually too. If you are very slightly limping, it could impact on all your joints. Talk to your GP or ask to be referred to a physio specialist.
