Doing Yoga with PKRs... any advice?
« on: January 30, 2011, 01:38:54 AM »
I had bilateral medial PKRs about 8 months ago. I'm 53, fairly active, and I'm back to biking (road and MTB), gyming, swimming, and yoga. Question - is there anyone else out there who has PKNs (one or two) and does yoga? I'd love to chat and get advice on limitations etc. Thanks :)

Hi Carin, sorry I don't have any advice for you but thought I'd ask you a few questions. I may have a PKR on my right knee. I play ALOT of doubles tennis and paddle tennis here in LA. I am on the court anywhere from 2-4 hours. In your opinion, will I be able to keep up that pace?  I'm 55, in great shape, except for my right doc says I should be walking in 10 days, and back hitting balls lightly in 5-6 weeks. Does that sound right?  I'm very hesitant about having surgery, look at it as a last resort. I'm still playing, but the pain at night is getting to me.
