Any advice- 5 days after quad tendon surgery
« on: January 19, 2011, 11:14:37 PM »
Looking for someone who's been down this path and can tell me what to expect...been weightlifting/powerlifting for close to 30 yrs, and had a car accident last wed where I felt severe pain above the right knee, turns out it was a complete rupture of the quad tendon...had it reattached fri night, been laying low since then, ready to start moving around on crutches...trying to figure out a few things...my job entails walking, climbing into a bucket truck, kneeeling, etc...any idea how long before I'm back to work? Is it possible to drive left footed (yes I know its not ideal...)? Or does everyone wait for someone to take them everywhere? Sounds stupid, I know, but I live alone, and the girlfriend is 45 min away...I'm only 44, and like to think someday I'll be able to squat/deadlift again, even if its not as heavy as in the past...Guess I'm just trying to prepare myself for whats comin down the pipe here...any advice is much appreciated..
