plaster cast
« on: January 19, 2011, 02:43:49 PM »
hi,new to knee guru, and just want some advice really, I ruptured my acl and tore my mcl back in July, had arthroscopy at the end of aug to just clean up inside the knee, was in a brace for 6 weeks or so and as a result my leg very stiff, I cannot bend or straighten at all so last friday I had MUA and am now in a straight leg full leg cast, it is very very painful. I want to know if alot of pain is normal, and they have said that i can weight bear as is comfortable, I am of course using crutches, but putting my foot on the floor kills on the mcl side, I want to know is it my mcl that is hurting or the muscles/tendons around it? I am in the cast for 4 weeks so an anxious to know if what I am feeling is 'normal'.

Look forward to your replies.
