N E one have ACL knee surgery and experience this.........
« on: December 28, 2010, 08:28:50 PM »
I'm 7 months from my ACL/Meniscus Knee Surgery
I'm 2 months out of a clean up knee surgery

Does anyone a very weak quadrciep (2 cm or more gone)?  And if you do has your leg had any difficulties doing anything?
When I do my box steps, I cant lower my good leg down that far.  Reason is because of the weak quadricep in the bad leg in being able to lower it that far down.  This is so frustrating because if i cant do them on my box step, then  doing it on a high stair case is impossible.  So my good leg just hits the next step real hard because its not able to be lowered with the bad leg.  Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh.

My PT is having me do a wall squat with both legs.   I then try and do it with the bad leg but I cant even go down that far or else I have sharp shooting knee pain (guessing because of the weak quad)
I hold it in that position for about 10-15 seconds but that hurts going down.

Does anyone have any restrictions beacuse of there weak quadricep from the surgical leg.
