Help!! Not sure what to do....
« on: December 26, 2010, 08:59:14 AM »
About a 1 1/2 yr ago I was playing football and hyper extended my knee inward, instant pain! Fell to the floor, knee swelled up and had to be carried off the field. Had Kaiser Insurance, went to see the doctor, he basically said I most likely just twisted my knee and that the swelling would go down in a couple of days. So after about a week the swelling did go down and my knee felt somewhat better. I started back playing football with a brace, and the knee just never felt right, went jogging and 1 mile into it I knew something was wrong. So after my first visit it's now about 1 1/2 months later, and see a second doctor who gives me an MIR right of the back and come to find out I have a torn ACL. Now at this point its 3 months later and I lost my insurance due to job change (more money contracting).

So, I now have no insurance, and a bad knee which might have a torn ACL. Does anyone know if I have a chance of going back to Kaiser and arguing the point of my first doctor missing my ACL tear?

Who do I talk to, within Kaiser? I'm totally frustrated with my situation....

Any help would go along way, as I have no idea where to turn....

Thanks...
