2nd knee manipulations?
« on: December 12, 2010, 07:36:36 PM »
I am a walking (have a very slight gimp) individual that has healed well from tib fib fracture (last May). I had an ex-fix and a knee manipulation a couple of months after. I have asked the doc if he could do another as I have only a 105 degree angle and would like to reach 120. He claims that it is a 50/50 shot. Has anyone had a second one done before (a couple of months after the fist one)? And, if so, was it successful? Also, I was wondering if that might help alleviated the slight gimp I still have?  I am fortunate not to have any pain, work out quite a bit, but do realize I'll NEVER be the same.  The doc claimed that at worst, I could get tissue damage or have tendons pulled during the process, but I am willing to make the sacrifice unless I hear otherwise from those w/experience from this.
