Can't straighten knee- sharp pain
« on: November 14, 2010, 06:11:35 AM »
Hey guys, first off just thanks in advance for taking your time out to help me.

I was putting my pants on today and when I bent my knee to put them on my knee popped and I had a severe sharp pain in my knee. After a few minutes it was fine again tonight the same thing happened except this time
I know can not straighten my leg out. When I try to it feels as if my knee needs to pop again but the pain is so sharp I cant even straighten it out. I don't play sports beside the occasional intramurals. I don't have any past knee problems anode I'm only 21.

Hi.  The inability to straighten is often a symptom of a torn meniscus.  Is the knee swollen?  If so, ice and elevate it.  And go see your doctor :)
Came off bike onto concrete 9/9/09
LK arthroscopy 8/2/10
2nd scope on 16/12/10
RK arthroscopy on 5/2/15
Lateral meniscus trim, excision of hoffa's fat pad, chondral stabilisation
LK scope 10.1.19 medial menisectomy, trochlea microfracture, general tidy up
