Locked Knee
« on: November 13, 2010, 11:55:26 AM »
Last week I went to the ER after a flag football game and was told I sprained my mcl. I stayed in a immobilizer and used crutches for a couple of days. I then got rid of the crutches and switched to a brace for work and commfort. I went to my OS and he sent me for an mri because its still swollen, very sore and now its locked to a point that I cant straighten it out. Is there anyway to unlock a knee without surgery? The last thing I want is another surgery.

Thank you for your replies

If it's locked it's probably because you have some sort of flap of your meniscus or other loose body preventing it from getting into full extension.  Wait for MRI results, but if that's the case, not sure it would resolve on it's own.
