Over extended knee
« on: February 10, 2011, 08:42:51 PM »
Hi all
I'm hoping someone will recognise my symptoms and be able to tell me whats wrong.
I had an op on my left knee for an anterior horn meniscus tear back in November. Recovery went brilliantly and I had very few issues until Monday this week. My knees have always over extended slightly but now my left knee seems to be over extending even more and I'm getting a really sharp jarring pain as if its giving way but obviously it has no where to go because its over extended. The back of the knee is really aching and I'm having a lot of trouble walking downstairs. It is also quite swollen on the front of my knee. I'm having to think about every step I take trying not to over extend the knee.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance.
