still have pain in medial collateral ligament after 2 years
« on: November 01, 2010, 05:27:58 PM »
Hi!

My right knee was bent sideways about two years ago. As a result, I suffered a lateral tibial plateau fracture and a torn meniscus, among other things. Even now, whenever I'm standing and I bend my right leg (i.e., raise my right foot behind me), I feel a sharp, nasty pain at the medial side (inside) of the back of my knee. I've been told that this pain may well indicate an injury or injuries to my medial collateral ligament (which is what I suspected) and its associated meniscus.

Does/has anybody else have this problem? Does anybody know what, if anything, can be done about it? I'm going to have my TPF hardware removed sometime next year.

Thank you!

Bye,

M

sounds like a meniscus problem to me - MCL shouldn't really be hurting like that after 2 years
