Calcium Deposits
« on: October 12, 2003, 01:09:55 AM »
I have been sufferring with recurring knee problems (right knee) for nearly 6 years now. I have already had surgery 3 times to remove calcium deposits which had hardened and were causing considerable discomfort. In total I have had some 6-8 lumps of calcium removed. My most recent operation was some 2 years ago. In recent weeks I have begun to experience the same problems again...locking knee joint, sudden loss of movement, shooting pains in the knee joint. In most cases each time pain occurs I can literally feel the calcium deposit(s) moving in my joint.

Surgery seems to be the only answer my surgeon can come up with. As you can imagine this is both inconvienient and very costly. Does anyone have any ideas how to prevent my knee from producing more!?...  ???
