Lateral tibial plateau fracture
« on: October 04, 2010, 05:14:26 AM »

I'm 22yrs old and while playing soccer I hurt myself. The ER let me know that I have a lateral tibia plateau fracture, approx 6mm, with no sign of depression, and slight displacement. this was Sun (Sept 26) I was told i needed internal fixation, it is know (Oct 3) I'm barely gonna see the ortho monday (24).

Does having all the that time pass by hurt me?

I can bend my knee when I lift it(with my hands) and it feels good, is that bad or good, should I keep it straight?

I am NWB, when on the crutches the calf on the broken leg tightens up and hurts when I am using the crutches (with all the blood rushing in) is that normal? If i flex or massage it hurts.

I know you guys offer opinions from your experiences, so I'm looking forward to all your help.

Thanks in advance
