MPFL recon allograft rehab
« on: September 23, 2010, 03:46:49 PM »
Hi,

I am 5 weeks post-op after allograft MPFL reconstruction and I have question. Must the rehab of allograft MPRL reconstruction be  different of autograft reconstruction.
The other question is, that from some postop diaries I red, that surgeons didnīt like stepups and stairs for 6 postop weeks. I  reason why ?

Hi - the reason to avoid stairs is that your leg muscles are very weak so all the strain will be put on the ligaments. Hope this makes sense.

Hi Meel,

I would love to  hear from you regarding whether or not you're satisfied with the results of your MPFL allograft and what your recovery was like. Any information you give on your experience would be a huge help!
