Perhaps just register a new account?

If you click your username, and then go to Modify Profile/Account Related Settings, you should see a page with your profile details on it. There should be a heading that says 'Username' and just underneath it in brackets should be the word '(Change)'. Click that and then you should be able to change your username.

It is preferable to change your username than to open a new account because then all your old posts are still linked to that name.

It is only if you want to dis-associate yourself with your old posts that you should start a new account.

If you do open a new account, please stick to that one, and do not use both accounts.
