Cyclops lesion surgery is 8 weeks away but
« on: August 08, 2010, 11:59:28 PM »
it feel like it's getting worse.
I had my original ACL surgery in December of 2005. Last year (around Oct. 2009) I was diagnosed with a cyclops lesion and arthritis behind my kneecap. Because we were closing on a house, crazy schedule at work, and moving I pushed my surgery to this October.

All of a sudden this past Friday my knee was swollen and it's been hurting nonstop since. I've been taking naproxen and ibuprofen alternately as well as icing and  elevating the knee but nothing is working. It's buckling all the time now and the pain is getting to be unbearable. The swelling has gone down but unless I'm sitting on the couch with my leg propped up, it hurts.

Has anyone else experienced anything like that? It was as if all of a sudden my knee said, "No, I'm just not doing this anymore." I have to sit down and take a break after putting make up on (a 5 minute process)!

Also, if anyone has had a cyclops lesion removal surgery can you tell me what your recovery was like?

Thank you!
