Hey Jillian,

That is pretty neat. Wonder if that'll become an arthritis treatment in the years to come.  Also wondering why she was on crutches for 4 months? Yikes, I'd go absolutely nuts. I'm four months post op today and I'm going around the house without them. I'll probably get in BIG trouble for that, especially if I have fractured the tibia by stressing it too much.  I complain about my knee then don't listen when I have it fixed?  Makes no sense!   ::)  Thanks for the article though!

This is the infamous ACI/Carticel procedure.  If only it worked well for defects on the patell  :(  It has been done on the patella, but if you don't adequately address the tracking problems first, it's of no use.  And the success rate on the patella is lower than other areas.  My doctor keeps telling me to hold on, this and other procedures are being refined to treat patellar defects!  Sigh.

Until then, we limp along.....
Scope #1: LR, part. menisectomy w/cyst, chondroplasty
#2-#5: Lysis of adhesions/scar tissue, AIR, patellar tendon debridement, infections, MUA, insufflation
#6: IT band release / Z-Plasty, synovectomy, LOA/AIR, chondroplasty
2006 Arthrofibrosis, patella baja

Jillian - you beat me to it!

My little flashing alert went off, I saw the article and was about to post the link and you had already done it!?!?

Anyway, it is interesting and will hopefully be refined soon and ready for mass consumption.  ;)
