Im facing my fourth knee surgery
« on: May 27, 2010, 01:52:52 AM »
I am 37 and am facing my fourth knee surgery in 7 years.  It stared out with chondromalcia of the patella grade IV at the age of 30.  I had the scoping, debridement with lateral release.  I am going in for a patella replacement in a couple of weeks.  The doc said that the top & bottom part of my knee are good.  He said that the grove wihere my patella sits is very shallow.  Has anybody been through this and can offer me any advice?

If you take a look in the patella section or search for PFJR aka Patella Femoral Joint Replacement you will find quiet a few that have had the procedure. I had my left knee done in Sept 09 an absolutely LOVE IT!

Best of luck,
Karen
