pain/tension in hollow of knee from knee compression
« on: May 19, 2010, 11:37:52 PM »
I'd love it if someone can explain what might be happening with my knee.  For the past several months I've had this symptom:

If I compress my R knee by either doing a deep knee bend or by pushing off the wall while swimming, I have pain in the HOLLOW of my knee that is better over time by stretching out my leg all the way.

Otherwise, I am fine while walking, etc.

As background, I am also missing the ACL ligament in this knee (an injury from 25 years ago) and I also had knee surgery 20 years ago to remove some cartilage that was stuck in there.  However, since then (20 years), I have had no problem until the past few months.   I am currently 54 years old.

Could this be something stuck in my knee again?  Could it be arthritis?  Any explanation??

Thank you.
