ACL Reconstruction w/ Quad Tendon Graft?
« on: February 28, 2010, 09:35:05 PM »
I'm 13 months post acl surgery and my doctor used the quad tendon. Has anyone else had the quad tendon used on their first surgery? I've read where the quad tendon was used for a second surgery but not the first ???

Also, I recently went skiing and I now have occasssional sharp pain in the knee when walking downstairs (upstairs is fine). Going to Colorado for a ski trip in 3 days and am a little concerned. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I guess you can as well use it for the first surgery. Itīs very strong graft. The pain what you feel when walking downstairs is probably some kind of patellofemoral pain. Try to get some exersices for that. Stretching and strenghtening for your muscles and make sure you walk and move properly.
