Hi Kirsty,
Really sorry you are still having issues with your knee and not surprised you are feeling emotional at the moment as your knee problems is never ending for you. I hope you can see your OS soon and do not have to wait for too long.
Milly, a career change would do me a world of good as I am not been happy with my current job for some time now and think I would get my enjoyment helping out others on the autistic spectrum as I know what it like to live with AS. Some of my family think I could not do that type of job while others are saying go for it. I will try my best to be a support worker for people with AS that get themselves in trouble with the law as they need someone to support them when they are going through the courts etc.

Thanks, Milly and Nick.
Ended up in tears cause of the pain today. So, the GP clinic suggested I go to the ED of where my OS works.
Saw a lovely English doctor who knew what he was doing. He spoke to my OS and knows of my situation but wasn't communicated to me by his staff. He said to keep going with the exercise bike and his rooms will contact me on Monday. At least he knows how bad my pain has gotten.
The doctor in the ED did the lachman's test and was very painful. Am worried that I have torn my ACL.
He was very reassuring, which was great.

Hi Kirsty,
Glad you liked the English doctor that saw you and would be a big set back if you have torn your ACL as you been through enough knee surgeries already and not surprised that you are upset as it seems to be never ending for you.
I hope you get to see your OS soon so he can fully examine your knee to decide what needs to be done next.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your kind thoughts.
I have never been in so much pain.
Tomorrow I will speaking with my knee surgeon's rooms.
Just praying no more surgery, but I don't hold much hope right now.
Feeling a lot better emotionally after getting some sleep over the weekend. Lack of sleep takes its toll.
Will update when I know more.

Getting really jacked off with my knee surgeon's rooms. They haven't got back to me about an earlier appointment and urgent one as my GP asked for.
They contacted me today telling me what I found out on Friday night about the exercise bike. According to my knee surgeon they were supposed to give me a time for an earlier appointment. Obviously they are not communicating properly.
Saw my physio today which was a complete waste of time as I am in agony tonight. Just feel like screaming and crying.
Back on crutches again and my back has flared up again.
I am seeing my GP again in the morning so that she can ring my OS on his mobile.
Sorry for the rant, but I have just had enough crap !!

It's a shame the communication has been so poor. Pain, lack of sleep and this kind of stuff will make you upset and angry. Sometimes is not the docs but the office staff that jack you around. Glad you did get to see someone that has a clue. Hope the ACL is not torn. So sorry the pain is so bad, and all the funny gaits and crutches will make the back unhappy too. Hope they have some better answers for you soon.

Hey Kirsty,
Just popped on here for old times sake and saw your post. Sorry to hear you're having problems again. Geez. Hope it's not the ACL.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your words of support. I was also in a state of shock after receiving news that a family member has a potential life threatening tumor. Fortunately it can be treated.
Seeing the GP was a waste of time. Just handballing me back to my Sports Physician who is back on Thursday. I got even more confused, especially about my pain meds. So, I rang my knee surgeon's rooms and waiting to hear back. The last week has been very frustrating as all I wanted was to be made more comfortable than I am. Is it asking for much ?

Hi Kirsty,
Sorry that a family member of yours has a tumor and glad that it can be treated. I really hope you get to see your OS soon as you must be drained mentally and physically with what's been going on the last 2 weeks. Try to remain strong and positive at this difficult for you and your family.

Dang! Glad the tumor is treatable. I don't think it is too much to ask to be comfortable at all.I don't think docs always understand how bad the pain is. Hope the OS will be able to help out there.

Hi All,
Today I saw my old physio as I have been desperate to find something to work. He was very helpful although he can't really help. Gave me an idea of how things work, especially in terms of medical politics. Was an eye opener.
I feel much more relieved.
Tomorrow I see my sports physician. So will be glad for some action to happen.

My appointment today went well. Although my Sports Physician is hand balling me to my knee surgeon for scans.
When I told my Sports Physician that my old physio said that is up to he and my knee surgeon he just laughed. He called it a hand ball.
I have to increase my exercise bike gradually.
Called my knee surgeons rooms and asked them if they can ask my surgeon about a new MRI as my physio suggested yesterday.
Must say I am sick of the handballing game !

Hi Kirsty,
Your are certainly been messed about recently with your knee problems and taking a long time to get somewhere. I know you are in a lot of pain and discomfort and should at least have had an MRI by now. The sooner you get your knee sorted out the better and hope you do not have to wait much longer.
