"Here's to"
« on: October 15, 2009, 01:37:42 AM »
In another thread, we were talking about how long and frustrating recovery can be.  How it is a roller coaster for emotions!  But how we need to keep the big picture in mind and think about how things hopefully will be ... eventually!  So, this thread is for the "here's to" that you're looking forward to.  I'll start it off with what I wrote in that other thread.  Feel free to add your own!!

Here's to waking up and not having to stretch my leg over the edge of the bed before stepping out of bed!

Good thread! You are totally right, hopefully someday all our here's to's will work out!

So here's to
not having to pay and be in pain after doing something I love, like riding horses and going to horse shows!

being able to go to the mall and just walk around.

not limping!!! (I sure hope that one starts to work itself out soon!)

ditching the "sticks" and braces forever!!!

Here's to sleeping through one night without waking up in either pain or just some discomfort.

Here's to being able to sit anywhere in the theater without having to worry that my leg will be "in the way" of people passing by.

Here's to:
Not waking up at 2am in the morning in miserable pain.
Being able to drive the car for more than 20 minutes at a time.
Being able to ride my horses without pain.
Taking my kids to Disney and being able to enjoy it.
I'm so busy that I'm not sure if I lost my horse or just found my lead rope.
