Problems with replacement
« on: October 05, 2009, 12:37:15 AM »
10 months ago I had right knee replaced. All was fine till 2-3 months ago. Pain came back and my calve feels detached and I have hamstrong and quad pain. Weds last week my knee went out, felt like my tendons and ligaments detachached and balled up behind my knee. Cant put pressure on my leg and I have a burning sensation around the knee and down my chin  Whats going on?

Hi There,  Sounds a nightmare, hopefully your consultant will be able to put you right.  I had a TKR four weeks ago and stumbled upon this website and was looking for success stories,  sorry yours has gone wrong.  Im doing ok so far, although my wound is still sore, and weeping in the middle area.  Im mobile enough and seeing the physio who is pleased with my progress. Its worrying your problems have started after months of progress,  I wonder if its possible for the knee to detach, anyway, hope you get it sorted, and would be interested to hear how you get on and what the problem was.  Take care   Janice
