Okay so I understand that I tore my meniscus and ACL but not quite sure what all of results are telling me. I tried to look up some of the terms but wasn't really satisfied with what I was getting. I still felt confused after reading them lol.
So here are my results:
Grade 3 tear involving the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. A very small joint effusion noted.
A very small popliteal cyst along the posterior medial aspect possibly due to minimal hemarthrosis.
There is a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament with avulsion of its attachment to the femur.
Ok I understand I have a meniscus tear. No idea what grade 3 is, joint effusion, popliteal cyst, hemarthrosis, and avulsion. If anyone can explain in English what exactly those are saying I would appreciate it. My OS didn't really get into that much detail with me. I kind of freaked out on him because until my appointment with him I didn't even know I tore my acl. My family dr. only told me about the meniscus. So the acl was kind of a shocker so I wasn't prepared with the right questions. THanks in advance.
