I have LFC/patellar defects in my right knee that were "cleaned out" in an arthroscopy a year ago. Every so often while walking (during extension), I get this sudden "clunking" sensation on my lateral side accompanied by shooting pain. It is at the point of the cavity/depression beneath the kneecap on the lateral side. Any pointers as to what it may be would be appreciated. It is not continuous but it is recurring.
