Results of MRI scan
« on: May 08, 2009, 09:51:25 PM »
My consultant suspects I have (another) ACL tear in my left knee following a reconstruction 5 years ago and referred me for an. MRI report, which is fairly brief states it can see a number of things okay (cartilage, PCL, medial and collateral ligament) but reports "No new ligament appears intact on imaging criteria" and concludes "Conclusion: Previous ACL repair no clear IDK". I'm taking it what it is trying to say is that it can't see an intact ACL, but it doesn't say it can't see a ruptured one either.

It's proving long winded to track down the consultant so he can explain all so wondering if anyone has any idea what the jargon from the MRI report means?
