ACL Surgery Skiing Injury Copper Moutain end of season
« on: May 04, 2009, 06:00:10 PM »
Hi, I am having ACL Surgery on May 11th, 2009 on my left knee.  I have already had a minicus tear surgery on my right.  I was told I needed it on that knee but I skied on it this season better than I skied on it before so I did not have it.  I am an avid skier and love it unfortunately I was at top on a noon groomer that was not groomed and when I went down the fall line and turned I slowed up and didn't have my left knee straight. BAD MOVE!!   It turned out to be a torn ACL and I have a brace on it aind if I take it off my knee goes out.  I recovered very quick from the miniscus tear surgery walked the 2nd day.  I have always been athletic and cannot imagine not skiing and playing golf.  Just wanted some feedback on the surgery, recovery and how to get back in shape as soon as possible. :)
