Looking for a good surgeon for double tkr....please help
« on: May 01, 2009, 04:23:43 AM »
I had knee arthroscopic on left knee due to torn meniscus. I was worse after sugery so had simvisc injections. No help. went to VA ortho, painful... removed 25 cc fluid both knees. MRI, xrays indicated severe oa both knees. They gave me Donjoy unloader braces for both knees. I don't want the VA to do the TKR and first surgeon said I was too young (53). But I work now and make a good living. I need  help now. My work is very strenuous...oilfield. I'm needing a referral of a good surgeon preferably in East Texas or Dallas. Please help.I don't want just anyone doing this stuff

I wish you lived closer to Austin.  I have a top doctor that is going to do my knee replacement whenever I give in and have it done.
The older I get the better I was.

Thanks for the reply beth1954. I am willing to travel. I live in a small town. I have no other options. Why is this doc tops?
