Steadman Hawkins Clinic

After eight years of pain and four knee surgeries, I've finally made the decision to take a trip up to Vail, Colorado and see someone at SHC. I was wondering if any of you all had experience there and if so, if you could recommend any specific doctor for someone with chronic ITBS pain.

2 surgeries dedicated to plica removal. 1 to remove scar tissue in my left knee. And another “pie crusting” of my IT Band. As of 2012 I am still not recovered.

Check out the posts under arthrofibrosis.. there are tons of people there with good info on Steadman.  It sounds like the right route to take to truly heal your knee injury in a proactive way!  I would love to do the same, based on what i have read.  There's also a great interview with Steadman on that section.  He is really ahead of his time!
