The PAIN IS HORRIBLE ADVICE PLZ
« on: May 18, 2009, 04:07:29 AM »
OMG, I think Im going crazy. Yall know I had the failed MFX 9 months ago, then was suppose to have OATS April 27 (oc defect MFC) then after surgery the OS said the damage to my knee was too extensive for OATS, make a referral to a specialist for ACI or PKR.What she did do during the scope ws debridment.  So Im waiting on this appt and my knee is hurting. For the past week real bad and for 2 days REAL REAL REAL BAD. For a week its been locking and popping with a sharp pain (never had than preop), then last night I get up and start to walk and my knee just locks, for about something less than a minute, then pop pain.I cant sleep the painful part is medial and my legs touching each other is just agony, I try a pilloe between then even hurts, but its some better.  It just aches and hurts so bad the last couple of days the pain meds help, but not so much the last 2 days.  Ive been using the icemachine, elevation and rest.  I gotta go back to work tomorrow, until I can see the new OS and get something scheduled.  Why am I hurting like this, I mean she couldnt have knock another piece of cartilage off that got missed could she?  I dont know I just hurt really bad tears bad.  I guess I will call first thing in the morning, SOrry yall ranting I know but any guesses or better out there please let me know :'(

Don't laugh or think this is too far in left field - have you had a barometric pressure / weather change?  Rain or the like?  Weather does affect, that might be part of it.  I doubt its totally the pain but that could, repeat could, be adding to the original pain your having.  Sorry I don't have any other idea's for you - its rough I know.  eagle

HI Michele,

Wish I had some advice for you, but it sounds like you are doing every thing you can to help aleviate some of the pain.  Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working.   I'd get on the phone to your doc ASAP and see if they can get you in.  Keep your chin up hun, I know it's hard.

Good luck .
