New here!
I am 23 and play football every weekend, for the last 8 weeks I have been having severe knee pain just below the knee cap on my right knee. After playing or running a lump will appear just below my knee cap (above my lower leg) and the knee will become very stiff and not function well for a couple of days.
I have followed R.I.C.E advice and visited my hospital last week who said it was probably nothing to worry about and to rest up for 6 weeks. I now struggle to walk up (and down) stairs and cannot run at all due to the shooting pain in my knee. I have arranged to visit my GP tomorrow as after standing for two and a bit hours yesterday my knee was in constant pain driving home yesterday.
Just wondered what people thought it may be and what to expect at the Doc's??
