torn scar tissue after acl recounstruction
« on: April 13, 2009, 09:42:26 AM »
I had ACL recounstruction about 1 and a half year ago with a hamstring graft. I ve had difficulty totally straightening my leg since which my surgeon said might have been scar tissue and would probaly be best to operate on. However the other day playing football i twisted my knee which gave way playing football with a loud tearing sound, i immediatly thought i had redamged my acl, but thankfully my physio thought i had torn my mcl and mabye torn cartilage. Since then my knee is straighting better my physio said it could have been scar tissue and might have saved myself a operation. While i wait for my appointment for my surgeon just looking for some help if this is quite a common thing to do? as im also still bit concerned about having another acl injury due to the similaritys between my last injury and this one! thanks for any help.
