At home -
PC - windows 2000 Prof
laptop - windows XP

At work -
office PC - windows 98
HPLC (analytical machine) PC - windows 3.1 !!!!!! Yes it does still exist and yes it is still crap! I actually learned on this OS so it wasnt too much of an adjustment, but it was still a bit of a shock to the system.

We also have 2 old macs at home that the kids use and they are quite good fun. Another machine that isnt working at the moment has Red Hat Linux on it, which I also like a lot.
04/07/02 RL - patella tendon realignment, LR and meniscus trimmed. RSD set up home shortly afterwards....typical.

At home:  Windows XP
At the office:  Windows NT, with no admin control at all

I used to have a Linux machine in grad school and I miss it, but I don't have the time to set up my own at home.

Cheers,
Barb :)

Well I'm curently working on an old steam train of a PC ( all of 4 years old!) and as such still have a Windows 98 operating system with Office 2000 facilities for my writing. It's a bit slow and behind the times, but it gets the job done and it saved me from getting caught by the darned Blaster worm!  ;D

I'm hoping to get a laptop before the end of the year though to help me work in a more comfortable position on bad days and while I'm away too...so I'll probably end up having to upgrade my home system eventually to make in more compatible with that.   :P

Interesting thread!  :)

Love and hugs....Jo
