20 years ago I ruptured ACL, MCl and LCL.......
« on: December 10, 2008, 11:38:22 PM »
.....and had an ACL reconstruction using the patellar tendon. About 10 years ago, I had a revision using my hamstring tendon and have great stability. Also in that surgery, my Doctor drilled 30+ holes in my meniscus. For the last year, I have been having increasing pain and burning sensations in the anterrior aspect of my knee. I have had a cortizone injection that did not help me. I am getting to the point that I am having trouble walking unless I am stiff legged. Before the injection, I had a MRI that showed bone overgrowth and spurs, along with OA under the kneecap.

It is going to be a few weeks before my appointment, so I was wondering if anyone has faced a similar situation and can clue me in as to what to expect to come up in the near future. A replacement is out as I am too young and fat. I am not looking for a diagnosis or prognosis, just some info to help me plan for possible down time.

Any ideas are appreciated.
