« on: December 06, 2008, 04:40:25 AM »
Hello Everyone,
i was wondering if anyone could shed some light my doctor has scheduled a lateral release for me and i was hoping to get some insight on how long recovery would be and what to expect afterwards.what i should do before post-op and after? He also said he is not sure what else he may do while inside to help with my pain. any help i would appericate any links or any personal expierence would be helpful.

thank you again

Heather,

Glad you are doing well.  My wife is comming along very slowly.  Her ROM is about 75deg, whis is about 5deg per week since MUA.  What was you ROM prior to LR?

Sig,

to answer your question i dont honestly know what my rom was before. but i have been set back now, i have a muscle knot  right above my kneecap where he did the lateral release. but now  i have pain when bending my knee to go up stairs and doing wall squats. i see my os tomorrow so well see what he says i want to go back to work. so iam hoping.

how are you? and your wife, when did she get surgery? does she have to go through pt.
