« on: December 02, 2008, 01:35:14 AM »
I have injured my right knee playing volleyball.  I was chasing down a ball and jammed my knee(straight leg)   The pain is inside lower knee just above bone.  a lot of pain when weight bearing.  I can bend the knee with little pain.  any advice or diagnostics would help

Since you are having a lot of pain weight bearing you could go to an Urgent Care/ER or try Ice and elevate and see how it is tomorrow.  If it is still bad tomorrow, call your GP and either see him/her or ask them to recommend an OS.  Good Luck

The best advice is go and see your doctor and maybe, you might have to see an orthopaedic Consultant - DONT leave it - the problem will not go away on it`s own.

Thanks folks.  Pain is worse this AM.  Thinking it may be a meniscus issue, bending no problem, still little swelling but not to much.  Ice and elevation still ongoing, going to doc today.
