Hey there, I am so excited for you! My husband & I think very highly of the Shriners & their endeavours. We donated to their hospital instead of drawing names & exchanging gifts with our family this year. We wish you all the best!

Please keep us posted! We would like to know how things work out for you. I think that you are going to be under the best of care. I have seen how hard the Shriners work to raise money for children with orthopaedic problems. My Dad was a Shriner many years ago. Take care, Suzanne

Fantastic news. Do keep us all posted. The Shrines are very near and dear to my heart - my father was a Shriner and he enjoyed many hours helping others. Excellent news. eagle

Great news Jak! Hope the Shriners can help you out. Good luck with the other OS though. I know how it goes, I had an OS tell me my knee pain was all in my head too. I wonder sometimes about that, but you just go see someone else. Best of luck.

HURRAH For YOU
I remember when you first started talking about wanting to go to Shriners. Didn't you have a friend with some connections? It has been a very long time in coming and I really hope the best for you. Might be a good thing to print out some of your old posts so you can give them a timeline as to what went on and when. I sure even you can't remember it all. Also that will give you a guideline as to what were and are your concerns and have it to ask questions from. Just an idea. Wishing you all the best.

i mailed in everything else that they needed...and they wrote back. they said that they get a large amount of applications, so the waiting time for an appt is about 4-8 months. they said that they would schedule an appt and write us to let us know when it is in the 3-6 months.
god thats a long time, but i do have an appt with another os on the 18th of this month. i will let yall know how that goes when it rolls around.
thanks,
jak
