Could be a lot of things Paul.  We all immediately assume it's a failed graft but I'm learning there are many reasons for the knee giving out or dislocating.  Best to check with your OS.  He'll probably want to do an MRI to get a good look at it.  Good luck with it.  Hope it's nothing serious!

thanks for the reply lenorem9

my surgeon said he has no explanation why it dislocated,i had the ttt operation in june 08,nearly 20 wks ago.
i just feel as if things aint right in my knee,i have grinding, clicking and a lot of pain.
still unable to return to work.
my acl operation was in feb 08.im at a very low point ,i have two children and i cant do anything with them that involves slight exercise ,i.e
football,trampoline etc.
and to top that off my surgeon has now retired lol

Time for a second opinion maybe?  Grinding, clicking and pain could be all normal stuff but it doesn't hurt to ask another OS.  Having the peace of mind will make you feel so much better if you have someone else look at it.  Having said all that I guess I'd still say "if you think something is wrong with your knee than it probably is".  Don't give up until you get an answer.  There are a lot of good Doctors that make mistakes or don't listen when you tell them what's wrong.

Sorry you're feeling so low.  I hate how these knee issues bring people down so much.  I never had any idea it would be like that, did you?  Hope you get some up days soon.

Keep fighting Paul!   8)
